Here is a summary of Brayden at 7 months with pics below some of the items:
- At 7 months, he was an expert army crawler and continually amazed me and daycare with how fast he is/was at his army crawl. At the time of writing this, Brayden now crawls with his tummy off the floor but he has a funky monkey crawl with the left knee down and the right foot down and right knee in the air. He's gotten pretty fast at that crawl too. Many times he will do a full out bear crawl with both feet flat on the floor and both daycare and I swear it looks like he will just stand straight up from there. I have a feeling it won't be too terribly long until we have a walker on our hands.
- He has two teeth - bottom center teeth. The first one popped through on 5/25 and the second one on 6/2.
- He has tubes in his ears (see last post)
- Saying "dadadadadadadadada" a lot
- Has his first girlfriend, Ella. They are apparently partners in crime at daycare and are always together.
- Loves electrical outlets and somehow can manage to pull out the baby proof plugs
- Loves splashing in the dog's water bowl
- Loves playing with the dogs
- Started sitting up on his own the day before 7 months and quickly was an expert at it
- Loves clapping his hands which is so cute! He also knows that if you say "YAY" he claps (except when you are trying to show it off because you know he can't do anything on queue haha).
- Started pulling himself up to standing 9 days after turning 7 months but will only consistently do it using people as leverage at the time of writing this -- I don't think he trusts other things because he's tried on a few things that were a little wobbly and he's fallen. He can stand really well once he's up.
- His favorite toys tend to be plastic bowls and cups and/or toys that make noise like rattles or a plastic bottle full of beans.
- He started feeding himself, first with puffs and now with some real foods. His first real whole food was peas and now at daycare he gets some of the school menu to dabble with along with his regular baby food lunch.
- He has upped his food intake quite a bit lately and is finally starting (still not there completely) dropping his late night feeding (the 10pm feeding we used to always wake him for before we went to bed).
I'm sure there is a lot more that I'm missing from the list. He is so silly and fun right now that Jimmy and I can't get enough of him!!
