I grew up in Double Oak and had never been to the 4th of July Double Oak parade but now that Brayden was at an age where he'd enjoy it I really wanted to check it out. We had a great time at the parade and will definitely make it a tradition while our kids are young to head out there. It is a nice small town parade that is not that crowded and is fun for kids.
Unfortunately I didn't actually take any pictures of the parade itself but here's one of Brayden and I waiting for it to start. The people in the parade throw out lots of candy and other goodies so it definitely keeps the kids engaged. One car actually handed out popsicles which I was very happy about because it was HOT! :)
