Ski Trip 2015 Part 1

In late January, we went on our 2015 ski trip with my parents and brother.  We had SOO much fun and really enjoyed our trip this year.  We went to Steamboat, CO this year and this was Brayden's 2nd year to ski.  He did great but more on that later.  We left on a Monday (without Jimmy) and he came out on the Wednesday and then we all came back Sunday.  This was the first year we had Jimmy come for the latter half of the trip instead of the first half which I thought was a lot better.

Jimmy dropped me and the boys off at the airport that Monday and helped us get all our luggage checked.  Then we said our goodbyes and went through security.  Security was surprisingly less of a pain with two kids and the stroller and all the junk we had than it was a few weeks earlier on a business trip when I asked to opt out of the body wave machine due to pregnancy.  Luckily with toddlers you get a free pass through the metal detector without "waiving" the body wave and thus having to be patted down.

The boys were excited to get on an airplane and they did great the whole flight!  Thank goodness for technology.  They kept busy with movies and coloring and games etc.

On the plane!  My two cuties :)  They were so good on the plane and watched movies and colored the whole way.

Kyle watching Frozen on my computer and Brayden watching Alvin and the Chipmunks on the ipad... thank goodness for technology :)

Once we landed we loaded up on a shuttle bus (that had carseats waiting for us) to head into Steamboat to our condo.  We were worried that we would be too early to check into the condo and would have to pass some time in town before settling in.  Luckily our condo was ready for us and we could settle in a bit before having to get groceries etc.

Out within 2 minutes on the shuttle... it was passed his nap time.  Unfortunately he only got about a 10-20 minute nap but overall he did pretty good all day.

Once we dropped our luggage at the condo and checked out our digs, we called for a shuttle to go load up on groceries for the week.  This was the one area where it stunk not having Jimmy at the beginning of the trip because that was two carrying hands we missed for all the groceries.  Luckily in Steamboat you use essentially private shuttles that come pick you up at your location and drop you where you need instead of other places where we sometimes have to catch the town shuttle and then transfer to the condo shuttle with all the groceries.

Bus full of groceries!

Our condo was a great layout for us!  It was a 3 story condo.  On the entry level was a bedroom and bath where my brother stayed plus the laundry room.  On the second level was the main living area - den, kitchen, dining area and the master bedroom and bath.  On the third level was two bedrooms with a bath.  This was where we stayed - one of the bedrooms had two sets of bunk beds where the boys slept and the other had two twins that we had pushed together as a king.  Definitely a great condo find.
