10 months

On September 4th, Brayden turned 10 months (and this post is info as of that day because most of the below is old news now). At 10 months he is such a joy. He is an extremely happy baby (although he is looking more and more like a little boy than a baby) and all the daycare teachers continually tell me how much they love him. He laughs a lot and is very silly. One of his new silly things is to use his fingers to flop his lips up and down to make a funny noise (this is really hard to explain but I know all of you would know of this if I were to show you). The only times he is whiny is when he's hungry or tired... or of course when he has an ear infection.

At 10 months, I think he weighed about 22lbs and wears 12 and 18 month clothes. He has such a long torso that most tops are 18 month but he still fits in 12 month in the waist. When he turned 10 months, he was walking along furniture and loved to get a hold of your fingers and walk anywhere. His favorite toy is any type of balls but especially loves this big bouncy ball we have. He will say "ball" like "baa" and gets so excited about them. He is also very coordinated and gets up on one knee kneeling and then bounces the ball really hard and of course laughs. He also can throw and is starting to kick balls. All good signs that he will be an athlete. :) He also loves water, anything from splashing in the dog water bowls to the bath tub to the kiddie pool. We went to a friend's kid's first birthday party the other weekend at a community pool complex and Brayden had so much fun splashing in the fountain things (video below).

Other tidbits from when he turned 10 months - he still only had 2 teeth (bottom front) but is working on other teeth up top. His words right now are "mama", "baa" (ball), "yay" when he claps his hands which he's really good at and can clap pretty loud, and his latest word is "uh-oh". His "uh-oh"s are so cute. The other morning he was next to the bathtub in our master bathroom while I was getting ready and kept dropping his toy in the bathtub and saying "uh-oh". I'd pick the toy back up and he'd do it again.

10 months!

Because he loves balls so much we got a ball pit and this was right when we started putting balls in it:
