Halloween Festivities

We had multiple Halloween events this year.  The first was at our church for their Trunk or Treat festival.  We spent that day carving pumpkins which Brayden helped scoop out the pumpkins and enjoyed drawing on the brown paper we had put down on the garage floor.  Brayden enjoyed getting candy at the festival although he wasn't quite sure what he was supposed to be doing and why all these people were dressed up at their cars.  He was a little sleepy since we were nearing end of day so the paci went with us that night.

The day before Halloween both my office and Jimmy's office had their Halloween parties/activities so I took both kids to both offices.  I didn't get any pictures at my office since I was there with both boys by myself but Brayden did great.  Then we headed over to Jimmy's office where Kyle wore his costume for the only time this year since it was too darn hot on actual Halloween to mess with it.

Then, on Halloween, Brayden's daycare had a Halloween parade and from there we went home and got ready for our first time trick or treating.  Brayden did awesome at trick or treating the first 5 houses.  He would say thank you without me even telling him to for the most part and he was actually saying trick or treat.  Unfortunately at the 5th house, their playroom is in the room right inside the front door and Brayden saw all the toys and that's all he wanted from then on out.  He wanted to go into that house and play with the toys!  He was also getting tired and didn't care much about the candy so we were pretty much done trick or treating from there.

Unfortunately we ended Halloween night at Acute Kids after Brayden took his bath.  He had told me that morning his ear hurt but then I kept asking him and he would say no so I didn't think much of it until when we were getting ready for trick or treating I saw all kinds of drainage coming out of his ear.  So, we did our thing and then headed to the doctor for more ear drops.  It's been a while since we had an ear infection!
