Thanksgiving

Even with everything going on, we kept all our original Thanksgiving plans.  We woke up Thanksgiving morning, loaded the boys and stroller up, and headed out to run the Double Oak Turkey Trot.  It was cold that morning so we bundled our gimps under the bubble on the double jogger.  This year I had done ZERO running prior to the 5K so it was much more challenging.  Jimmy and I took turns pushing the stroller but we did great about running majority of the time.  My parents kept up too but we were all tired and sore the next day. :)  Unfortunatley I didn't take any pictures from the event since I was in a bit of a hurry after the race to get the turkey in the oven.

After the Turkey Trot, we headed home to get the turkey in the oven.  I was trying a lot of new recipes for our thanksgiving feast, including Kidd Kraddick's famous brown bag turkey, with a little Alton Brown brine beforehand.  This was only my second turkey to cook and the first time to do it on my own without my mom's help.  I also tried other new recipes from Paula Dean including homemade stuffing which was yummy.  All the food turned out fabulous if I do say so myself!  Yummy!!

My parents and brother came over to partake in the feast and we just hung out and played with the gimpy boys.
